Caramelized Onion Dip
I have made this dip so many times and it always is a hit! It’s a “one up” on the traditional package onion dip for sure and simple to do. I love to serve it with potato chips, but you can use any chipper cracker you’d like. Spread it on a steak or burger too. It’s just simply sinful!
3 Large Yellow onions
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 Tbsp Butter
2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2-3 dashes Worcestershire sauce to taste
12 oz sour cream
8 oz cream cheese
Peel and thinly slice onions. melt the butter in a large skillet and add the onions and sprinkle the salt and brown sugar over them. Continue to cook the onions 10-15 minutes until they are deep golden brown and fragrant. Transfer to a cutting board and chop coarsely. Cream the sour cream and cream cheese together in a mixing bowl and add the Worcestershire sauce, fresh Parsley and chopped onions and mix well. Place into a pretty bowl and top with a few snips of parsley. now, get dipping!
