Combining Fresh Greenery with Artificial

When creating your Mantle showpiece, use a pre-lighted garland and add fresh greenery to it to create a gorgeous full look. You not only will have the scents of the season, but you’ll take a ordinary store purchased garland and make it look opulent. Its amazing what a few sprigs of Pine, Fir, Juniper and holly can do!

If using ribbon and, or artificial picks as well, My tip is to get the largest size items in place first.

So, the garland in place first, second the large picks, third the ribbon and lastly the fresh greenery. After these are wired in and secure, you can add your ornaments and other adornments.

Also as a reminder, refrain from using the real greenery in the middle of the mantle where the heat of the fireplace can dry it out too quickly. Try using the fresh only on the ends of the mantle as a “waterfall “ effect.
