Homemade Croutons
Home made croutons! So diverse and good. Place then onto your Caesar salad, Wedge Salad, soups and Bisques for a little crunch. Or a simple snack with your cocktail at the end of the day.
using Brioche bread is my personal favorite as it makes them tender to the bite and you won’t” crack a tooth” enjoying these savory bites. By making them yourself you can customize the flavor profile. Parmesan, Cajun, Chile, Greek, Herb, whatever sounds good to you! What flavor would you enjoy? Let me know.
Becci’ tip of the day? Store them in a Zip Lock in the frighted marked with what flavor they are and take out a handful at a time and lightly toast in the oven or toaster oven as you need/ want them. They might even replace a cracker as a sock for you once in awhile for something new! Try it, you’ll see.
I Loaf, or 1 Pkg of dinner rolls , or sliced bread Brioche style bread
4 Tbsp cup Olive Oil
2 Tbsp Herbed Garlic Salt ( or whichever flavoring you choose
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Using a Bread knife, cut up the bread into desired size cubes. I like them larger for topping soups and smaller for salads. Toss the cubed Brioche with the EVOOil and seasoning until well coated, but not soggy. Pour the croutons out evenly onto a Cookie Sheet and bake for approximately 15-20 min or until lightly toasted.
Cool and store in a Zip Lock in the Freezer.
