Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Chip Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 4 Tbsp pumpkin pie spice

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp fresh nutmeg

  • 2 cups caned pumpkin

  • 2/3 cup brown sugar

  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup applesauce or canola oil

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract

  • 2 cups chocolate chips (reserve 1/2 cup for top of bread)

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease two 8x 4 inch loaf pans

In a large bowl whisk together all dry ingredients. In a medium bowl mix together all wet ingredients. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry until combined. Fold in 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips. Pour half the batter into each of the prepared loaf pans , sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips and bake for 50-55 minutes or until a inserted knife comes out clean.
