Pear Martini
I fell in love with this cocktail at a local restaurant and decided to put my own spin on it. I don’t like things too sweet, and tend to like my drinks more tart. of course if you like to have more sweet, cut back on the lemon juice and add a smidge more simple syrup. Either way this drink hits the spot, but drinker beware! it goes down awfully easy!
I keep simple syrup available in my frig all the time as this is my hummingbird nectar as well. you can purchase it, but I make several cups at a time and its much more economical. I use 1 cup of sugar to 1 cup of water and bring it to a boil until it is completely dissolved. Let is cool and store it in a container in the frig. Having it on hand makes it easy to whip up this cocktail and many others.
Serves 2
1/2 oz Elderflower Liqueur ( I use St Germain)

1 oz Simple Syrup
Fresh pear for garnish if desired
