Shishito Peppers
OMG! This is seriously my new favorite snack and or appetizer! You want easy? this is it! I like to dip the peppers in a garlic aioli, but I have also enjoyed them in a Wasabi, or Sriracha Mayo. You make the choice.
Rinse and Pat dry 1 bag of Shishito peppers ( this is the way I purchase them in my super market) I’d say this is approx 25-30 peppers.
In a large skillet heat 3 Tbsp of Olive Oil to almost smoking. Toss in the peppers and stir fry for 4-6 minutes, or until they begin to lightly brown in spots or blister.
Remove from pan and place into a large bowl or platter. Sprinkle with Sea Salt and serve with desired sauce.
Remember these are peppers and once in awhile you may get one that is hotter than the rest. This I why it’s nice to have a dipping sauce to help cut the heat if that occurs.
To eat, had by the stem and bite into the pepper leaving the stem behind. Enjoy!
