Traditional Armenian Rice Pilaf
This Buttery rice side is the best!
Ingredients
2 Cups Uncle Bens Long grain rice
4 cups chicken stock
2 cups crunched up vermicelli
1 cube butter
1 tsp salt
Melt the butter on low heat in a large pot.
Add the vermicelli pieces and saut'e till lightly browned
Add the rice and salt and saut’e for another minute
Add the stock and stir to combine, bring to a boil with the cover on
Reduce the heat to low and stir, continue to cook on low covered for 15-18 minutes stirring frequently.
When all liquid has been absorbed, take it off the burner and let it sit covered for 10 minutes
