Old Fashioned Oatmeal peaches, blueberries and more
The Oats I generally use are Snoqualmie Falls Oatmeal, but you can use Quaker, Steel cut or your personal favorite. I am not a huge Oatmeal fan, but I do try to incorporate it into our diet at least once a week and it has to include fresh fruit, especially Blueberries. I have to “doll it up” as well. So, a drizzle of Cream (if I have it on hand), some granola for a crunch, slivered almonds and a small sprinkle of brown sugar make the perfect Oatmeal bite. Of course there are so many variations of this morning meal from adding maple syrup, different fresh fruits, a variety of nuts, dried shaved coconut or other dried fruits. I’ve even been known to put a dollop of lemon curd on top. The list of toppings can go on and on. So try “fancying” up your Oatmeal with some fun toppings for a new morning taste treat sensation!
