Truffle Fries
Are you looking for simple side to go with your burger, steak or grilled chicken? My easy Truffle oil fries are a hit! The Truffle oil dresses up the French fries and makes for a “fancy” side. I am of the thought that a little Truffle oil can go a long way, so I tend to be careful when using it. I purchased my Truffle Oil from a winery in Tuscany awhile back and thought it had a very mild flavor, which is why I liked it. I feel as though some oils can be quite strong, but depending on your taste use as much or as little as you like.
I generally purchase shoestring cut potatoes, the thinner the better. Of course you can cut your own potatoes and make them from scratch, but why? I call these fries easy, because they are! Store purchased fries, just the way you like them, thin, thick, you choose. I choose thin as to keep them as close to “frites”, the French style. Preheat my oven as the package directs, spread the fries onto my parchment paper lined cookie sheet, and drizzle with the truffle oil, toss and lightly salt them. Bake as directed.
So simple and yet these dress up any dinner with a special twist!
